ADAM Audio S3H Overview Adam Professional Audio’s S3H is an active studio reference monitor designed for horizontal placement in medium- and small-sized control rooms. It has two 7″ HexaCone woofers, a 4″ dome/cone hybrid midrange driver, and a handcrafted folded-ribbon tweeter, with a combined RMS power of 1350W. The waveguides, Adam-designed mid- and high-range propagation systems (MPS and HPS), provide a large, stable sweet spot. The frequency response of the S3H, designed for transparency, is remarkable, ranging from 32 Hz to 50 kHz. A wide range of DSP parameters, from equalization to delay, are available for adapting the monitor to the environment and personal tastes. The rear panel has an OLED display and a push-button/rotary encoder for parameter adjustment. Connect a computer to the USB Type-A connector for easy remote access to all S3H settings. Two inputs, balanced analog and AES3 digital, are accessible via XLR connectors. An XLR AES3 output is provided to transport digital signals to the second monitor, as required for proper digital signal flow. Adjust the input sensitivity and output level as appropriate.
